Happy Monday and Happy Valentine’s Day! I need to go celebrate with mister LP, so I will keep this short and sweet.

1. Since neither one of us are a big fan of V Day, Logan and I opted for a very quiet dinner in a very deserted Chic-fil-a. And don’t even be sad for us. It was fun, it was time together, it was food. Fine Valentine’s date to me!

2. Valentine’s Day in the classroom. We had a wonderful celebration of cards, candy, centers, sorting, graphing, eating candy hearts. Pretty much anything and everything a first grader could want. I heard multiple children say, “This is the best day ever!” and “Ms. Rogers is the coolest teacherrrrr.” Thank you, thank you very much. They make me feel loved.

3. I wore this. I have loved elephants since I was little, and Haley surprised me with a trinket. Since we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like, we may or may not have started a game of sorts of leaving a small present for each other at home whenever we go. Since home is in the middle, this seems to be a great way to make each other feel loved and special, even if we don’t see each other as much :)

4. I spent Sunday in Boone with sister and cousins, and am still basking in the glory that reunion was. We had delicious food, some antique shopping, some Blue Ridge Parkway driving, and some Mast General Store candy buying. Great weekend at home with the parents, and great to see Haley boo.

5. Best Valentine I received: “Hay Ms. Rogers. Wut is goin on?”. This was tossed into my lap slyly, and then the presh little culprit slunk away. Later I caught his eye and said “Hey buddy. What’s going on?” He giggled and said, “Oh my goodness. You read it.”You should be jealous of my job :)

So friends, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Feel loved. It’s a perfect day for that. Even if you have no Valentine, look at this buddy. You can’t help but smile!
