5 things
It somehow seems that the weeks drag on and that weekends only last a minute. Maybe that’s because I haven’t had a day off since winter break. I try not to live for the weekend, but that can be a difficult thing when the monotony of the work week starts to take its toll. Enter the happy list to brighten up a tired Monday!

1. Spring has sprung! All of the trees are blossoming, and I am making a stand for no more tights. I have been going with the longer skirts, boots, and socks in an attempt to avoid the morning chill and so far it has been successful. With days in the upper fifties, sixties, and seventies these bare white legs are out just like the flowers. Loving it.

2. Alfalfa Sprouts. I love them. I would prefer alfalfa sprouts to turkey on my sandwich. Whenever I have them on a sandwich, I keep the container by me and eat them by the handfuls. Melissa was introduced to this quirk last night. Light, crunchy, healthy. What’s not to love?

What’s not to love?

3. Roommate nights. We are both wearing our comfy jeans and tennies, just had a healthy Chic-Fil-A dinner (I actually did get the grilled chicken believe it or not! Bathing suit season will be here before we know it…), and are now kicked back on our couch watching Outsourced. Love this girl. Love this year of life to teach, get a handle on the real world, be exhausted together, be couch potatoes together, do exercise on demand shows together, be together. This year will forever be one for the memory books.

4. This recipe. Butterscotch Pecan Sandies. Enough butter to stop your heart, and melt in your mouth delicious. Even trade off I would say. This recipe also makes copious amounts, so you can make them under the guise that you are making them to share. And then keep a hefty amount for yourself. We did!

5. Watching this boy shave. I think it is so fun to watch for some reason! As much as I hate shaving my legs, I can’t imagine having to scrape that razor across my face all the time. He knows I love him best when he is clean shaven, but now I am beginning to understand why he opts for the stubble often times. Nevertheless, I think it is somewhat of a simple wonder, and a wonder I love to watch.
Now time to unplug and read a book. In this information age, reading a real book is a novel idea. Get it? So I’m off to finish my latest Stieg Larsson. You should too!
