The Mondays always seem to get the  best of me. I am either wiped and come home to fall into bed for an epic nap, or come home and go into a vegetable state. Either way, blogging somehow seems to fall low on my Monday “to-do” list. So enter the Wednesday list.

1. “Ms. Rogers do you know who Tupac is? He wears a gun necklace. Well he did before he was dead. Oh and it’s not a real gun. It’s a fake gun. Look I drew it.” And by drew it he means he drew it all over his poetry assignment where he was supposed to be illustrating a Dr. Seuss poem. Great.

2. Ice cream. How can you have a bad day when ice cream is present? I think I like ice cream more than the average person. And by like I mean love. I could eat it everyday. More than once. So during a weekend at home, I got to spend time with these lovely girls and combine two of my favorite things. Them and ice cream.

3. Mint Spring Insta-Dri Sally Hansen nail polish. Green. And what is tomorrow? St. Patrick’s Day! It is my duty as a first grade teacher to go all out. So the nails…..and the dress and the cardi will be green, green, green.

4. “We are at 98% compatibility. We were at 100% but you keep bringing us dowwwwn.” Melissa had this to say about my opinions of Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts. I just can’t won’t like them! She swears she will bring me to the light, but I’ve got to stand firm. So if that means 98%, we may just have to take it!

5. Reading. I have always been a book worm, but with all of the required reading in college, the reading for pleasure kind of fell to the wayside. I could get in a few great books during the summers, but regardless of the resolutions and vows to read throughout the year, I never made it a priority. Lately I have been making a conscious effort to “unplug” and read for an hour several nights a week. I have already finished two of the three Steig Larsson books and am halfway through the third. Loving being literate.
